동, 서양을 대표하는 정악 가야금과 바이올린의 서로 다른 음색과 연주법, 그리고 소리의 성질을 그대로 받아들이면서  다르지만 낯설지 않고, 활짝 연 마음으로 서로를 그대로 받아들이는  제목 그대로 "다름"을 인정하는 아주 성숙하고 그러면서도 넉넉하고 깊이 있는 소리의 "화합"을 이끌고자 했다. 특히 연주자 서로가 소리의 다름에 귀 기울이고, 함께 연주하여 느끼는 색다른 기쁨과 소리의 깊이를 느낄 수 있도록  작업했다.

In this Work I wanted to produce a mature, deep and rich "harmony" of sounds made by two instruments that represent the Orient and the Occident respectively, that is, Classical Gayago(Bup-Guem) and Violin. In this "harmony" is attained a co-presence of different instrumental colors, different playing techniques and different sound qualities. The elements composing the "harmony" are, though different, never strange  nor cumbersome to one another; they embrace one another and the "Darem"(difference) is acknowledged. I made special efforts so that each player can listen to the difference of sound and feel an unusual joy and depth of sound coming from playing together.
